What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a brand of customized clear-plastic aligners developed by Align Technology in San Jose, California, that gently coax your teeth into better alignment. The aligners are designed following a consultation with Dr. Bagheri and the development of a comprehensive treatment plan. You receive a set of trays that change out every week or two as your teeth gradually shift into optimal position.
What types of bite problems can Invisalign address?
Invisalign can help correct a number of smile issues. Dr. Bagheri can help determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. Common conditions addressed include:
- Overbite and underbite
- Crossbite and open bite
- Crowded teeth
- Large spaces between teeth
Those who play contact sports appreciate that Invisalign can be removed, so there’s far less chance of oral injury. Invisalign for teens have a blue indicator tab in the back that can tell parents and dentists if the aligners are being worn enough to get results.
How long do I have to wear Invisalign?
An Invisalign treatment plan lasts from one to two years, depending on your particular treatment plan. The aligners are to be worn 20 to 22 hours each day, even while you sleep. They’re comfortable and nearly invisible, so people might not even notice them.

Invisalign can also correct crooked teeth.
How are Invisalign aligners made?
Once you and Dr. Bagheri have decided Invisalign is right for you, he captures a 3D scan of your teeth that is sent to the Invisalign lab for fabrication. When your aligners arrive about six weeks later, Dr. Bagheri ensures they fit right and send you home with your set.
What are the advantages of Invisalign?
In addition to being inconspicuous – unlike metal braces – Invisalign offers numerous advantages as a smile-straightening treatment. These include:
- No dietary restrictions: You take the trays out to eat and drink
- Easy hygiene: You remove the trays to brush and floss
- Fewer emergency visits: There are no brackets or wires that can break
- Comfortable wear: The aligners cause minimal rubbing or friction
- Fewer checkups: You only see the doctor once every six to eight weeks
Porcelain Crowns
A dental crown is a durable, custom-made “cap” that is placed on a damaged tooth. This type of procedure is beneficial for aesthetics as well as for the overall function of the mouth. They can be used to solve or improve problems like severely damaged or decayed teeth, cracks or fractures, misshapen teeth, and discoloration. Crowns completely cover the existing tooth to strengthen and protect it and restore one’s natural appearance.
This procedure involves multiple steps including an initial exam to make sure the teeth are in good enough condition for the addition of the crown, preparing the damaged tooth for the crown, a mold and scan of your existing tooth, a temporary crown, and finally the implementation of the new crown.
When cared for properly, crowns will typically last about 10 years before needing to be replaced.
Teeth Whitening
Want a brighter smile? By lightening the color of your teeth by several shades, teeth whitening can transform your smile. Our professional teeth-whitening system involves whitening toothpastes peroxide w/ bleaching agents for both in office as well home.
Dental Cleaning
Daily hygiene habits can help protect teeth from plaque and bacteria, but when you need a more in-depth and thorough cleaning, our professionals can provide it. Our team will gently remove plaque and tartar from hard-to-reach areas and polish your enamel. This process helps to prevent the buildup of plaque and tartar which can lead to decay and gum inflammation and leave your mouth feeling fresh and clean.
Scaling and Root Planning
Gum disease or periodontitis is a severe infection or inflammation of the tissues that surround your teeth and it affects 47.2% of adults over age 30 in the U.S. Tooth scaling and root planing are common, non-surgical dental procedures to treat this condition. These procedures involve the removal of plaque and tartar on the visible tooth and below the gumline then the smoothing out of the teeth to encourage your gum tissue to reattach. This will reduce the size of a potential periodontal pocket that can trap bacteria. After this treatment, you may need a post-procedure checkup.
Nightgaurd
A nightguard can help you with morning headaches, for TMJ jaw pain relief, and to prevent damage to your teeth, jaw, crowns, and other dental restorations from grinding your teeth. Typically, they will last between 5 and 10 years, depending on the severity of your teeth grinding and stress levels. While wearing the Nightguard, you will continue to clench, but the wear will be on the guard and not on your teeth.
